Position Cost Averaging

Hi PCA Fans,

We have a bunch of holdings set up and we are trying to run a nice model portfolio for you, but with all the action up and down we are not getting enough action in either direction to allow us to get some trading activity in our holdings.

We need bigger market cycles in order for PCA to generate some good trades.

These little 200 points up..200 points down are not going to get it.

We need to see some longer runs in either direction in order to move the bar and get some trades.

Now we have a Hurricane headed for the Gulf of Mexico and an election on the horizon.

Maybe after we get through with all of the the market can find a direction and stick with it long enough to give us a buy or a sell.

OK, Today we loaded up on 500 shares at $12.79

We are going to set up a $500.00 minimum market order for the buy and sell side. We still are using ten percent resistance.

This should be a good one as well.

The next buy order is 47 shares at $10.73 and the next sell is 33 shares at $15.35

Today we deiced to get into the Financial business with 300 shares of XLF at $21.24.

We are set up with $300.00 minimum market orders and ten percent resistance for the buy and sell side.

This one looks promising.

We’re getting in the Energy business with 200 of XLE at $70.90.

We think this would be a good place to get in since it’s pulled back so far.

We are keeping the $300.00 minimum market orders and the 10% buy and sell resistance.

The next buy order is at $63.13 for 5 shares and the next sell order is 4 shares at $80.51.

We’ll see what happens next.
